Orders outside the European Union: VAT, taxes and customs duties

When you place an order on our website with a delivery address located outside the European Union, specific rules apply. We would like to explain them as clearly and transparently as possible.

Tax-free billing (excluding VAT)

For all orders shipped outside the European Union, prices displayed on our website are charged excluding taxes:

• French VAT is not applied
• The total amount of your cart is automatically recalculated once a non-EU delivery address is entered

Taxes and customs duties upon delivery

When your order is imported into the destination country, it may be subject to:

• local VAT
• customs duties
• possible customs clearance or handling fees charged by the carrier

These charges are required by local authorities and are not collected by Maison Empereur. They are generally requested by the carrier at the time of delivery.
